How to Avoid Losing Streaks When Playing Keno?

Keno, like any gambling game, can draw you into a losing streak that you may have trouble getting out of. Keno, of course, is a lottery like game that relies entirely on chance so there isn’t necessarily a fixed strategy you can use to win it, but there are ways to mitigate the losses and avoid those losing streaks wherever you can.

Set Spending Limits

This one is very simple. The easiest way to get out of a streak of bad keno games is to make sure that you just can’t play anymore. Budget exactly how much you’re willing to play or, better yet, how much you’re willing to lose and no matter what happens stick to that limit. Never assume that your next game will be the winner if you’ve used up your entire spending limit or that you can make up your losses with just one more game. If you’ve exceeded your budget, quit.

Play Around with Those Numbers

The unique thing about Keno is that it’s not just about picking the right number, but the right amount of numbers. You can normally choose up to 20 numbers, but ideally you should try and keep it between 4 and 8 numbers to maximize your chances of winning. So play around with how many you pick at a time.

Should you vary what those numbers are, though? Honestly, statistically it should make zero difference which actual numbers you play as the odds are always the same regardless if you pick 8 consecutive numbers, 8 completely random numbers or 8 numbers that mean something to you. That said, you never know if there are quirks to the reno balls or to the digital version on which you’re playing so skipping around if your numbers keep not coming up, it’s not a bad idea.

Switch It Up

Like switching up the numbers you choose, theoretically this should make little difference, but if you’re on a losing streak, try switching up the machine if you’re playing digitally or even switch games entirely to another casino game. You can even change the casino if you think the game is rigged.

Again, this may make no difference and theoretically it really shouldn’t, but it certainly can’t hurt.
